The Portland brewery has been operating out of its Milo facility since January 10, and it will soon be open to the public.

Bissell Brothers Brewing continues to grow. The Portland brewery announced it will open its second production facility in Milo to the public this summer. The move has been long suspected among beer lovers since the brewery has mentioned the Milo project a few times on social media. However, the details of whether the facility will be open to the public, have a taproom or release their canned beers was previously unknown.

What's been named Bissell Brothers Three Rivers has been home to the brewery's barrel ageing project. The brewery ages some of their beers in wood barrels. The Three Rivers facility will open sometime this summer. We'll keep you posted on an opening date.

Meanwhile, the craft beer scene in the Bangor area continues to grow. Last month Orono brewery Black Bear Brewing opened a taproom at 191 Exchange Street in Bangor.

Another Orono based brewery, Orono Brewing Company is expanding its production facility. The 10,000 square-foot building at 61 Margin Street in Orono will house their brewery and a taproom. The expansion work began last May. OBC also has a taproom in Downtown Bangor.
