Police are asking for the public's help identifying and locating a suspect in an attempted armed robbery. The man allegedly approached a woman who was sitting in her car, pulled a knife and demanded money.

Skowhegan Police say the incident happened on Tuesday night. A man, pictured in this artist's rendering, allegedly approached a woman who was sitting in her car outside the United Steal Workers Local 9 Poulin-Turner Hall where a weekly auction was taking place.. The victim said the suspect had a knife and demanded money, but she was able to scare the robber off.

The suspect is described as a white man, 30 to 35 years old, with a black mustache, wearing a camouflage hoodie. A suspicious white sedan with blue tinted headlights was seen seen in the area.
