Police responded to a reported bomb threat Thursday afternoon at Katahdin Elementary School in Stacyville.

School officials reported the threat just before students were set to be dismissed for the day. Classes were not disrupted by the incident.

State police, assisted by an explosive detecting K-9, searched the school, and found no evidence of explosive materials or harmful devices, state police said in a news release Thursday evening.

The threat remains under investigation.

Police said no further information regarding the threat would be released Thursday night.
