Police: Littleton Shooter Also Involved In Gas Station Incident

Police say a 62-year-old woman accused of shooting a man Sunday night in Littleton was also involved in an incident Friday at a Houlton gas station.

Margaret Barnes was charged with elevated aggravated assault after allegedly shooting 52-year-old Scott Barnes.

Police tell the Bangor Daily News that officers on Friday responded to a report of a woman acting irrationally at Doc’s Place gas station and convenience store.

They say the woman was identified as Margaret Barnes.

She was taken to Houlton Regional Hospital for a psychological evaluation.

It's not clear when she was released from the hospital.

Margaret Barnes made her initial court appearance on Monday. Bail was set at $25,000 cash.
