State Police are investigating a possible armed road rage incident on the interstate on Tuesday.

The incident happened just before 6:00 Tuesday evening, around mile marker 222 in Howland. Someone at the scene told WVII-TV that a driver got angry with a tractor trailer driver and shot at the truck's windshield. The bullet pierced the windshield and reportedly continued on through the passenger side window. The rig's driver was taken to the hospital with injuries that were not believed to be life-threatening.

State Police are investigating and, at this point, there's no word on whether they have a suspect.
