Presque Isle  and State Police are asking for any information from the public about the death of a man who was found Sunday afternoon.

It was around 4:15 in the afternoon when the Presque Isle Police received a report of a deceased person inside a home at 11 Washburn Road. Public Safety spokesman Steve McCausland says responding officers found the body of an adult male. The subsequent investigation at the scene prompted the officers to contact the Maine State Police Major Crimes Unit.

Today, members of the Evidence Response Team are at the Washburn Road address, processing the residence and collecting evidence. The man's body will be sent to the Medical Examiner's Office in Augusta, where an autopsy will be conducted to determine the man's identity and hsi cause of death.

Anyone with information about what may have happened at the 11 Washburn Road address is urged to contact State Police at 532-5400 or by stopping by the Presque Isle Police Department to speak to lead investigator, Sergeant Darrin Crane.
