Police Investigating A Shooting In Wilton [UPDATE]

State Police have released the identity of a man who was shot outside a home in Wilton early this morning.

The man shot and killed just after 1:00 Wednesday morning is 24-year-old Michael Reis from New Sharon, according to State Police. An autopsy is now underway at the State Medical Examiner's Office in Augusta.

Police say several people were at the mobile home at 259 Weld Road when the shooting happened outside the residence. Detectives have identified the shooter, but his name has not yet been released. The man is cooperating with police. Investigators plan to interview a number of the people at the gathering to try and determine exactly what happened.
