Maine Drug Enforcement Agents are investigating two suspected meth labs today, one in Hancock and the other in Patten.

Department of Public Safety spokesman Steve McCausland says the MDEA was involved in the discovery of a lab in Hancock in Wednesday's pre-dawn hours. While they were busy there, State Police discovered a suspected lab in Patten.

The drug agency's meth response team is responding to both locations. Members will be wearing protective clothing and breathing apparatus as they seize evidence from the two places.

This makes 80 meth responses this year by MDEA. 2015 ended with 56 such responses of meth labs, and dumping sites where the drug was found.
