Police on Wednesday morning released the name of the man killed in a single-vehicle crash in Unity Tuesday night.

Police say Harold Fickett III, 20, of Clifton died a the scene when the pickup went off the Bangor Road and struck a utility pole just after 9 pm. Fickett was a passenger in the vehicle.

Two others, including the driver of the 2002 Dodge Dakota truck. were injured. Both were taken to the Belfast hospital with non-life threatening injuries. No other information was available about the two injured people.

A chocolate Labrador retriever named Josie ran off from the crash site and any area residents who have seen the dog should call the Public Safety dispatch center in Augusta at 624-7076.

Police are investigating the accident.
