Police Charge Bangor Man With Murder in Truck Fire Deaths

Two Bodies Found In Burning Delivery Truck in Bangor

A Bangor man faces two murder charges in connection with the deaths of two people in a truck fire in Bangor.

John De St. Croix, 25, was arrested at the Bangor Police Department Friday. He is charged in connection with the deaths of Michael Bridges, 43, and Desiree York, 36.

De St. Croix has been taken to the Penobscot County Jail.

The case remains active and as more information becomes available, Bangor police anticipate De St. Croix will face additional charges in connection with this incident.

Police have not released a cause of death or a possible motive for the crime.

Police say De St. Croix does have an address on Ohio Street. He is formerly from Massachusetts.

Bangor firefighters found the bodies in a burning delivery truck Wednesday night at the Penobscot Plaza in Bangor.
