Police Catch Teen Wanted In Swanville Shooting Incident

A 16-year-old boy wanted in connection with a shooting incident last weekend in Swanville has been captured by police in Waldo.

Tyler Ellsworth of Swanville is accused of driving past another teen's home while yelling at the teen and firing shots in his direction.

Police say Ellsworth fired shots into the woods near where the teen was standing.

The Waldo County Sheriff’s Office on Wednesday asked for the public's help in finding the suspect and detectives say they got a tip that same day.

The tipster led police to a home on Moosehead Trail. Cops say when they arrived, they spotted Ellsworth in the yard and he ran into the woods, but they quickly tracked him down.

Ellsworth faces charges of terrorizing with a dangerous weapon and reckless conduct with a dangerous weapon.
