Police say an investigation into the distribution of crack cocaine and heroin in the Biddeford area has led to four arrests.

Steve McCausland, spokesman for the Department of Public Safety, says three of the arrests came following a traffic stop on November 5.

During the traffic stop, Niaomi Butts of Biddeford was charged with operating a motor vehicle after suspension. Raymond Naveo and Celina Rodriguez, both of New York, were arrested for trafficking.

At the same time as the traffic stop, agents executed a search warrant at a home on Hazel St. in Biddeford and arrested Corey Harmon of Biddeford on a trafficking charge.

McCausland says agents later learned Butts was concealing illegal drugs within a body cavity at the time of her arrest. On November 9, she was taken to Southern Maine Health Care in Biddeford, where agents seized 38 grams of crack cocaine. She was then charged with trafficking.

McCausland says the investigation is continuing and additional charges are expected.
