Police Arrest Clifton Man For Death of His Girlfriend

State Police have arrested a Clifton man for the death of his live-in girlfriend.

Department of Public Safety spokesman Steve McCausland says detectives have charged 37-year-old Dwight Osgood, Jr. with murder for the death of Kary Dill. She was found shot to death on Monday morning at the home the two shared on Route 9 in Clifton. The couple have been living together for about 4 years.

Osgood was taken to the Penobscot County Jail and is expected to make his first court appearance on Wednesday afternoon. He was arrested after being questioned by detectives at the State Police barracks in Bangor Tuesday afternoon.
