A small plane that made an emergency landing on the interstate a year ago has once again experienced engine trouble and made an emergency landing.

Craig Maynard, and his father, Rodney Maynard, landed the Cessna 172 plane in Westfield on Sunday. The plane originally took off from the Houlton Airport and then did a touch-and-go landing at the Presque Isle Airport. But on the return trip to Houlton, the plane began to have engine problems, and the pair had to make an emergency landing.

In July of last year, the Maynards had just taken off from the Houlton Airport, when the plane lost power and they were forced to put it down on the interstate. In both instances, the aircraft wasn't damaged and no one was injured.
