A 19-year-old Levant man was killed Saturday in a single-car crash in Pittsfield.

Public Safety spokesman Steve McCausland says the accident happened just after 1:00 Saturday morning. State Police responded to an accident near mile marker 144 southbound on I-95 in Pittsfield.

A 2005 Chevy Colorado, driven by 19-year-old Kelcin Dullas of Levant, hydroplaned off into the median and struck a tree. Dullas was killed on impact. Police say inadequate tires on the truck is believed to have been the cause of the crash during a rain storm. Water on the road made Dullas lose control of the vehicle.
