A 27-year-old man was killed when he was struck by a vehicle as he was walking along Peter Dana Point Road in Indian Township early Sunday morning.

Anthony Dana was struck around 3:30 a.m. by a Chevrolet Impala driven by Christy Grant, 19, of Indian Township, police said on Monday.

Police said Dana was walking in a residential area, and he was struck by Grant's vehicle after she crossed the center line to pass a vehicle that was in front of her.

Indian Township Police Chief Alexander Nicholas told the Bangor Daily News there's evidence the incident was alcohol-related.

Grant was arrested, charged with aggravated driving to endanger and taken to the Washington County Jail. She has since been released on $10,000 surety bail.

The incident remains under investigation, and police say Grant could face additional charges.
