Pedestrian Hit By Car in Brewer [UPDATE]

Brewer Police have identified an elderly woman hit by a car on Eastern Avenue Friday night.

Eastern Avenue, between Parkway North and Allison Parkway, was blocked off for much of Friday night as police investigated the accident that happened at around 5:30. Investigators say that 91-year-old Louise Park of Brewer was struck by a car while crossing the road. The vehicle was driven by 56-year-old Lori Fidler, also of Brewer.

Ms. Park was taken by ambulance to Eastern Maine Medical Center, where she remains in critical condition. The investigation is ongoing but police say there are no indications, at this time, that speed or alcohol were factors in the crash.
