Many Patriots fans, or even sports fans in general for that matter, were extremely confident in the Patriots' ability to beat the Denver Broncos in the AFC championship game last Sunday.

It was no different for Burke O’Connell, who was so confident in the Patriots he went ahead and got a tattoo commemorating the team's victory in Super Bowl 50.

The only problem, the Pats were slowed down by a ferocious Denver defense and they lost the game 20-18.

"They're champs anyway. We got four rings," he told WCVB. "We're the best anyway regardless if we win or lose."

The tattoo, which was placed on O'Connell's left leg, features a Patriots logo and reads "champs" and "Super Bowl 50."

Burke's new tattoo declared the Patriots would be champions of Super Bowl 50. Here's how he feels today: http://wcvb.tv/6180Bkq0e
