The Rocky Knoll Country Club in Orrington will host a golf tournament this weekend, with the proceeds to benefit the Alzheimer's Association.

Rocky Knoll is a beautiful course on Route 15 and will be the site for the Longest Day golf tournament this Saturday. It's just $60 for a team of four to take part in the tournament that will kick off, bright and early, at 9 a.m. That entry fee includes 18 holes, a golf cart, and lunch.

There will be many prizes offered, and a hole-in-one prize of $15,000. Plus, participants can try their luck at a putting contest, and just might win a whitewater rafting trip for two! Proceeds from the day will benefit the Alzheimer's Association, which reports that more than five million Americans are living with the disease across the country, with 26,000 of those people right here in Maine. It's currently the nation's 6th leading cause of death.

To sign up for the Longest Day Golf Tournament, call Rocky Knoll at 989-0109. And for more information, find them on Facebook.
