A local church organization is holding its annual plant sale on Saturday. All the seedlings are grown in Maine so they're hearty, healthy, organic, and cheap!

The Unitarian Universalist Church in Bangor is holding its annual plant sale Saturday. UUSB member VyVyenne Ritchie says the seedlings are grown by UUSB members in their gardens and greenhouses. They're organic and strong!

On top of that, Ritchie told me the plants will be affordable. Prices far below what you'll find at local retail outlets. On sale will be favorite perennials like hosta, lupine, bleeding hearts, and astilbe. In addition, there will be many varieties of garden vegetables and annual flower seedlings. They'll even have some house plants! Need any other reasons to stop by?

Okay, here's another one! Some of the proceeds from the sale will benefit the church, and some will be used to help community organizations, including Bangor's community garden. So you can buy some great new plants for your home and help out others at the same time!

The sale will be held Saturday, June 14th from 9 to 2 at the Unitarian Universalist Church in Bangor. That's right up the hill, next to the Bangor City Hall. Don't miss it!
