One Person Dead After Oxford Standoff

One person was found dead inside an Oxford home after a standoff with police.

WGME-TV reports the incident began as a domestic dispute Tuesday night on the Hebron Road. Police responded and spent about 10 hours on the scene in a standoff, during which no shots were fired. The road was shut down, as a precaution.

When officers entered the building this morning, one person was found dead. No one else was hurt. Police have reopened the road to traffic.
