Once again this Saturday, the Old Town Rotary Club will host a delicious hunter's breakfast in Riverfront Park.

Last year was my first time attending the hunter's breakfast, and I realized the picture I had in my mind was totally wrong. For years, I'd heard about the breakfast that's 'outdoors' in Riverfront Park, and I thought 'why would anyone eat outside in the late Autumn?'

But, when I got there, I saw how wrong I was! The breakfast is set up inside a tent that's outfitted with heaters, so there are no worries about being too cold. Actually, between the heaters and the food, it's downright toasty inside. I spent my day outside the tent, next to a fire barrel that was putting off a lot of heat, all on its own. Of course, this year, that won't be as big a concern because it's supposed to be considerably warmer than last year.

Come join us between 4 and 8 a.m. at Riverfront Park in Old Town for a great breakfast. I haven't heard details about the menu, but suffice it say there will be plenty to eat! Eggs and all the fixings. You don't have to be a hunter to eat, just willing to get up early.

Admission for the breakfast is $5 for adults, $2.50 for children under 12, or $15 for a family. There will be couple of raffles too, with a $400 gift certificate to the Old Town Trading Post and an Old Town Kayak up for grabs.
