Normally, I don't give a hoot about reboots. They hardly ever end up being anywhere near as good as the original. But when the first version of Pet Sematary came out in theaters back in 1989, I was straight up appalled.

The character of Louis Creed was played by actor David Midkiff. And the only movie I'd ever seen him in came out just maybe a year before, and he played Elvis in a TV movie. And his wife was played by actress Denise Crosby, who at that point was on Star Trek The Next Generation.

So I thought they seriously dropped the ball on casting. Oh, and Jud Crandall was played by Fred Gwynne. Who we all know best from The Munsters! There wasn't a world where you could really take the folks that seriously in these roles, considering where they had just come from.

So, when I saw this trailer going around online, I figured they had nowhere to go but up. And I think they really hit it. Jason Clarke has been cast as Louis, and Amy Seimetz as Rachel, and the super awesome John Lithgow as Jud Crandall. So, I really do have high hopes for this version.

But check it out for yourself. Watch the trailer, and see that they've really kicked it up a notch. I can't wait for April of 2019!! In the meantime, grab a tiny bag of popcorn and settle in for the next two minutes!!
