It's a totally unique version of a Christmas classic. My friend Tim Pugliese, along with the New Surry Theatre, once again presents Charles Dickens' "A Christmas Carol" as a one-man show. A master storyteller, Tim uses voices, accents, and body movements to animate this favorite holiday story. And you can see it live, on-stage over the next couple of weekends!

I have to admit, I was skeptical when Tim first told me what he planned to do. But I also had confidence that, if anyone could bring this story to life in a solitary show, Tim could do it. The first time I saw the show, several years ago, I was transfixed. You honestly forget that there's only one guy on stage! I've included a couple of videos to help give you a feel for the quality of this performance!

The New Surry Theatre will present "A Christmas Carol" at Hammond Hall in Winter Harbor this Saturday, December 8th at 7pm. December 14th and 15th at 7pm, you can see the show at the Blue Hill Town Hall.

December 16th, 3PM at the Blue Hill Town Hall Theater there will be Memorial benefit for Janet Butler Torrey, with singing from Ellacappella and a reception following the show. Tickets for this performance are $20, with all proceeds going to the Janet Butler Torrey Trust. For more information, check out the New Surry Theatre's website. For now, enjoy the videos and get ready for great holiday fun!
