North Carolina Mother is Powerball Winner [VIDEO]

26-year-old Marie Holmes is a mother of four who had to quit her jobs at WalMart and McDonald's to care for her kids, one of whom has Cerebral Palsy. And now, she's also a millionaire! Holmes is one of three to hit the jackpot with the $584 Powerball drawing on Wednesday.

I love this story because I always hope the money goes to a person or family who can really use it. Someone for whom the money will make a huge, positive difference in their lives. Not a wealthy person who really doesn't need the extra cash. And Marie is exactly what I always hoped for.

She will receive $188 million dollars, before taxes, over the course of thirty years. Or, if she takes the cash payout, it's worth $127 million before taxes. Marie says she'll give some money to her church, buy a new house, and set up college funds for her kids.
