A North Berwick woman died after being extricated from her overturned car in the town of Lebanon Wednesday night.

Public Safety spokesman Steve McCausland says the accident happened at about 9:30 on the Little River Road. 65-year-old Gloria Dubois was traveling south when she lost control of her vehicle while pulling into a private driveway. The car struck a fence and a tree before rolling over.

Rescue workers found Dubois alert but trapped inside her car. They were able to extricate her from the wreck, but she went into cardiac arrest and died. Medical personnel were unable to revive her.

Family members say she may have been suffering from a medical condition prior to the crash. Police are working with the State Medical Examiner's office to determine the cause of the crash.
