Muppets Go to the Museum…Permanently [VIDEO]

I was 10 years-old when Sesame Street hit the airwaves in 1969, and ever since then Muppetshave always been a part of the movie-track of my life. I think we've all tried at one time or another to mimic the voice of Kermit the Frog, Miss Piggy, Fozzy Bear, Gonzo, Cookie Monster, or any of characters that have ingrained themselves into our psyche, or tired to sing or hum the tune to the Muppet show or Sesame Street opening. But what you probably don't know is that the late creator, Jim Henson, debuted the puppets in 1955. They've been around a lot longer than we give them credit for.

So for the past 58 years, American culture has not been without those furry critters that we love so much. And now we hear our treasured Muppets are about to make a permanent appearance in one of America's treasure houses (Smithsonian--National Museum of American History) for future generations to enjoy.
