Thanks to an impressive performance, Damon Wilson of Newburgh not only scored two tickets to the Zac Brown Band concert on June 7, but he will be breaking bread with the band before the show.

More than 50 people gathered at Dysart's on Broadway to witness the spectacle in which seven of our most loyal Country Club members chowed down on their own 2-pound, 9 oz., blueberry pie to see who could finish first and walk away with the coveted "eat and greet" passes customary at ZBB shows. If that weren't enough, we also gave our winner two tickets to the Lady Antebellum show on Thursday!

Before the contest, Wilson said he ate a little bit to prepare so eating an entire pie wouldn't be a total shock to his system. It seemed to pay off, with Wilson finishing his pie just as the 10-minute time limit expired.

"I just kind of worked my way through it, nice and easy," he said afterwards. "When the time got down, I .. really piled right into it and made it happen."

But don't think anyone went away empty handed. That's not our style. We gave each contestant two tickets to either the Zac Brown Show or the Lady Antebellum show. Plus  everyone left with a cool new T-shirt, thanks to the kind folks at Dysart's who also supplied the pies.

Have fun at the shows everyone and thanks for participating and coming to watch. We should DEFINITELY do this again.

If you want to be the first to know about all the cool stuff we do, make sure you join our Country Club, too!
