I've heard of some ridiculous social media fads over the years, but this one takes the cake. It's called the Charlie Charlie Challenge, and has people supposedly trying to summon demons. Have these people never seen a horror movie? I mean, this is a seriously stupid idea.

If you haven't heard  of this yet, here's the way it works: Divide a piece of paper into four quadrants by drawing two lines. In the upper right and lower left corner, write the word 'yes.' Write 'no' in the other two. Then balance two pencils in the middle, one on top of the other. The idea is that you ask questions of a Mexican demon named Charlie and he answers in the same manner as a Oiuja board, moving the pencil to yes or no.

Here's my question: Why would you want to do this? I'm not going to say that I believe it. But there's such a thing as not tempting fate! I mean, I'm not overly superstitious, but if I have a choice, I'll walk around a ladder instead of under it.

If you think summoning demons is a good idea, check out this clip from the movie 'Mama,' The story revolves around a man and his girlfriend who take charge of raising his two nieces, who were left alone in a cabin in the woods for five years. They quickly learn the girls were not alone, but had a demon they called "Mama' taking care of them. And Mama follows them to the new home. Yikes! Truly one of the scariest movies I've ever seen. And the best deterrent I can think of to summoning demons. I don't want Mama (ro Charlie) at MY house!
