A car containing two women and a dog flipped over on Main Street in Bangor this morning. Police told WABI-TV that the new medians are most likely to blame.

The driver was taken to the hospital after her Honda Civic flipped over in front of the Main Street Garage, near McDonald's in Bangor. Her injuries were thought to be non-life threatening. Another woman and a dog, who were also in the car, were not hurt.

Police say the new medians probably caused the accident, which seemed to be confirmed by a witness. The person told the BDN that she saw the cars tires drop into a hole in the median and then bounce back up before the car flipped, suggesting that the driver over-corrected.

Motorists are reminded to pay attention while driving and don't talk on your cellphone when you're behind the wheel.
