Names Of Women Involved In Hammond Street Wreck Released
Bangor police have released the names of two women involved in a wreck on Outer Hammond St. that sent a Penobscot County sheriff’s deputy to the hospital.
Bangor police Sgt. Tim Cotton told the Bangor Daily News that 39-year-old Barbara Warren-Dunbar of Brewer was driving the car that struck deputy Frank Jennings' vehicle on Tuesday.
Cotton said 41-year-old Joy Levesque was a passenger in Warren-Dunbar's vehicle.
Both women were taken to Eastern Maine Medical Center. There's no word on their current conditions.
Police said Warren-Dunbar's car crossed the center line before it struck Jennings' vehicle near Target Industrial Circle.
Jennings was released from the hospital Wednesday after suffering bumps and bruises in the accident.
