#My Mother’s Name Is Ruth [VIDEO]

Did you know that in many countries, it is considered taboo to reveal your mother's name in public? Men in many countries feel it opens them up to mockery. So a viral campaign is asking people to publicly reveal their mother's name this Mother's Day to honor the woman who gave you a lifetime of love.

This video really had an impact on me. I mean, my sons grew up with a Mom who has a very public job. They often heard, 'Cindy Campbell is your MOTHER?' Or, in the case of my youngest, denial from a teacher who didn't believe it was his mother on the radio during study hall. But all I've ever felt from them is pride in who their mother is. Never a reluctance, or inability, to reveal my name.

And that's the other part of this - sometimes these men in other countries just forget their mother's name. They never utter it and so, eventually, just forget it altogether. This blows my mind. I mean, this woman gave you life! She kissed your boo-boo's and changed your diapers. Have a little respect!

So, there's an international campaign to give your Mom a gift this Mother's day by changing your social media profile picture to your mother's name. And then tag it with #MyMothersNameIs. Pay homage to the woman who raised you and sacrificed so much for you!
