I have a couple more movie reviews as horror movie season continues at my house. From late September to Halloween, we try to watch several scary movies each week. This weekend we watched "100 Feet," and "Close Your Eyes."

We started our Saturday evening with "100 Feet," starring Famke Janssen. She plays a woman who is under house arrest after being convicted of killing her husband. Hubby was abusive....but he was also a cop. For some reason, the cop assigned to her case was also her late husband's partner. The plot is pretty obvious....the house is haunted by her dead husband. I have to say, this movie didn't scare me. The acting was pretty good, and the storyline was interesting....but the special effects were....kinda cool....but just not scary. And there were long periods of time with nothing more than creaks and footsteps. All in all, kind of a bore.

We followed up that movie with "Close Your Eyes," starring Goran Visnjic. He plays a hypnotherapist who has found a "safe" living, helping people quit smoking. But one day, he hypnotizes a cop who enlists his help in catching a serial killer. Okay, so, for me this movie was worth it just to watch Goran. He's just...well....we won't get into that! But the movie was quite well-done.  It's really more of a thriller rather than horror...but there are a few places in this movie that will scare the heck out of you! The torture of a guy helping with the investigation will make you squirm, for sure. All in all, I think it's definitely worth adding to your Halloween horror list!

That's all for now! Happy Halloween Horror Watching!
