Three Caribou residents, including a mother and son, were arrested Thursday and charged with burglarizing a home on Sweden Street.

Kerry Simoneau, 38, her son Damian Simoneau, 22, and Matthew Cocheran, 24, were each charged with burglary and theft, reports the Bangor Daily News.

On May 1, a resident reported that her home had been burglarized and several items had been taken, the Caribou Police Department said in a news release on Monday.

On May 5, Officer Chad Cochran received a tip that a young man had been cashing in large amounts of change. That tip, combined with other information he received during the course of his investigation, led to the arrests of the three suspects.

All three were taken to the Aroostook County Jail, where bail set at $2,500 cash each.
