The National Weather Service has issued a winter storm warning for Bangor and much of eastern Maine, with the forecast calling for between 4 to 8 inches of snow.

The snow is expected to start around 4 p.m. Monday and last until 7 p.m. Tuesday, tapering to snow showers Tuesday afternoon.

Bangor is most likely to receive 6 inches of snow, but models show that the accumulation could reach a maximum of 10 inches.

Winds are expected to come from the north and gust up to 30 miles per hour.
