Two men who were arrested at Linnhaven Mobile Home Park in Brunswick on Wednesday are accused of selling heroin.

33-year-old Nathan Donovan of Brunswick and 35-year-old Melvin Givens of New York were both charged with aggravated trafficking of heroin, according to Steve McCausland, spokesman for the Maine Department of Public Safety.

The Maine DEA spent three months investigating the alleged drug-dealing operation. DEA Agents say Givens was traveling from New York to Maine with large amounts of cocaine and heroin. They say Givens would stay at the homes of local drug users and distributors, and frequently change locations to avoid police.

Drug agents say Givens was staying with Donovan and Donovan’s father, 68-year-old Robert Tardiff. When a search warrant was executed at the mobile home, agents say they seized 27 grams of heroin, 4.5 grams of cocaine, Suboxone strips and marijuana. The estimated street value of the heroin and cocaine was $5,500.

Givens and Donovan were arrested without incident. Tardiff was arrested on outstanding warrants for unpaid fines.
