A mother desperate to find her daughter has turned to police and social media to get help.

Kristine Wiley says her 15 year old daughter has not been heard from since Sunday night.

Initially, Wiley turned to social media after talking with authorities and the post suggested her daughter Nichole Cable was with a teenage boy, but Wiley says that teenage boy has reported that his facebook page had been hacked and he’s been cleared as far as she’s concerned.

Wiley says she’s doesn't know what has happened to her daughter or if she left willingly with someone, but she left personal belongings like her cell phone charger and makeup behind. She says they had not had a fight and her daughter told her she was meeting a friend she was familiar with in the driveway of the home. Nichole failed to return home.

Wiley says she’s been told by other teenage girls attending Old Town High school, who are friends with Nichole, that some guy had been reaching out to them via facebook and they had denied his request to meet up with him. She says none of Nichole's friends have heard from her.

Penobscot County Sheriff’s Deputy Shawn McCue says the case is under investigation and when I asked if he thought Nichole could be in danger his response was, “It’s possible.” However, my initial interview was cut short because of cell phone interference.  I will continue to follow up on this story.

If you have any information about the where about of 15 year old Nichole Cable, you’re encouraged to contact Deputy McCue with the Penobscot County Sheriff’s Department.
