State Police say they've located a missing 93-year-old man with dementia.

UPDATE: 93-year-old William Mitchell was found safe Tuesday morning, after driving to Connecticut. He was found in a parking lot of an apartment complex in Deep River, Connecticut, which is a four hour drive from New Gloucester, Maine. Mitchell was trying to locate his daughter in Norfolk, which is on the opposite end of the state.

Department of Public Safety spokesman Steve McCausland says William Mitchell was last seen on Monday afternoon. It's believed that he may be driving his 2017 Hyundai Accent with Maine license plate 7885 VN. Police say Mitchell has no driver's license and the car's registration has expired. He had talked about visiting his daughter in Norfolk, Connecticut, so he and his car could be anywhere in New England.

The photo attached to this article is not Mitchell's car, but is similar. McCausland says there were no readily available pictures of Mitchell, but that he's 5'9" tall, weighs 180 pounds, and was wearing a blue flannel shirt and a Navy ball cap when he was last seen.
