Katahdin Federal Credit Union has resumed some of its operations after fire forced the building to close last week. Since the fire, the credit union set up several temporary offices to service its customers. But now, customers can do some of their transactions at the damaged building.

Don Casko, President and CEO of Katahdin Federal Credit Union explained the updates in a press release today:

“In just one week, thanks to lots of hard work and support from our staff and assistance from others, we have made significant progress.  The ability of our members to conduct transactions at our drive thru, as well as getting our ATM in operation again, represents a big step in resuming regular operations at our main office.  We are also making good progress on re-opening our lobby operations but have not set a timetable on exactly when that will occur but anticipate it being soon,”

The State Fire Marshall continues to investigate the cause of that fire.
