Maine drug agents on Tuesday reported the discoveries of a pair of suspected meth labs in Fort Fairfield and Troy.

Drug agents found the Fort Fairfield lab inside a home Route 1A, according to a press release from the Maine Department of Public Safety.

Dustin Murphy-Moran, 24, was arrested and charged with operating a meth lab. Murphy-Moran was taken to the Aroostook County Jail, and bail was set at $10,000.

Agents said they found 71 plastic soda bottles that had been used to make the drug inside the home. Agents suspect the meth-making operation was up and running for quite some time.

The Maine Department of Environmental Protection and Fort Fairfield police assisted at the scene.

The second suspected meth lab was discovered on Ward Hill Road in Troy. The release said agents would arrive on the scene shortly to safely dispose of the materials that were used to manufacture the drug. State police are assisting drug agents in disassembling the suspected drug-making operation.

No arrests have been made in connection with the Troy meth lab, but a suspect has been identified, according to the news release.

The MDEA has now responded to 107 meth-related incidents this year, up from just 56 in 2015.
