Drug agents are investigating a meth lab in Waldo County, the second methamphetamine manufacturing bust of the year.

State Police and the Maine Drug Enforcement Agency found the lab inside a house at 97 Prescott Hill Road in Northport on Friday. They were at the home conducting a check on the occupant, who was out on bail on unrelated drug charges. 38-year-old Melinda 'Mindy' Way was re-arrested for violating bail conditions and taken to the Waldo County Jail.

Friday night, MDEA's meth lab team seized a substantial amount of evidence related to the manufacturing of meth. Ms. Way and a second person are expected to be charged on the meth violations next week. She and two others were arrested last April by Troopers for forging checks from two Belfast businesses to purchase drugs. Way was the bookkeeper for the businesses.
