A Massachusetts man, who's been staying with two men in a Maine home, is facing charges after getting in a fight with his housemates.

Public Safety Spokesman Steve McCausland says State Police have charged 21-year-old William Donovan with aggravated assault. He's originally from Massachusetts, but has been staying at a house on Little Falls Road in Hollis with 57-year-old Everett Smith and 27-year-old Kyle Barrows.

Troopers were called to the residence at around 9 o'clock Wednesday night for a reported stabbing, but what they found was the result of a fight. One of Donovan's roommates had been punched in the face. The other was pushed through a window, causing a severe cut to the wrist. It was that injury that was originally reported as a stabbing.

Donovan, who troopers say was intoxicated, was hiding behind the garage when they arrived. He was taken into custody and transported to the York County Jail. Donovan's expected to make his first court appearance on Friday.

Barrows was treated and released from Maine Medical Center, receiving a number of stitches to close the wound on his wrist. Smith did not require medical attention.
