Manna Ministries of Bangor has started its Christmas gift drive. What sets Manna apart from many other gift drives is that they're gathering presents for all ages. Executive Director Bill Rae says everyone deserves a gift on Christmas morning!

Many toy drives take place around the region, with the focus on providing for children. And that's great! Kids deserve to have gifts to open and to get at least one perfect present that was exactly what they wanted.

But Bill Rae says parents, single adults, elderly Mainers, and Veterans also deserve to have something under the tree. And then there are the parents who use all their holiday money to buy for their kids and then have nothing left over for each other. (I, personally, experienced this for years!) Even if it's a warm coat or a pair of socks, it's something that says someone cared enough to think of you.

So Manna is collecting items for all ages, so that everyone can have a Merry Christmas! To contribute, just stop by Manna on Main Street in Bangor and pick a tag off their tree. Or you can stop by Manna's table in the J.C Penney court of Bangor Mall and take a tag off that tree. Cash donations are also gratefully accepted!

If you're interested in signing yourself or your family up to receive a gift, stop by Manna. They'll be happy to help out! And, when in doubt, Rae says warm outerwear of any kind is always welcome. Manna wishes everyone a Happy and Blessed Christmas Season!
