Manna not only has a new location, but they also have a new phone number, and they want to get the word out as turkey season is here.

The folks at Manna are undaunted by the recent chain of events that's caused them to close their rehab facilities and move out of the old Beal College building. You can still find them serving up meals at night and handing out bags of groceries to those in need. But the meals are being served at the Brick Church on Union Street in Bangor. And the groceries are being distributed through Manna's new location at 100 Center Street.

Now, a new wrinkle in their journey has forced them to change their phone number. Residents of the old Main Street building apparently spent a fair amount of time calling overseas, unbeknownst to the administrators, and tallied up a $2,000 phone bill. So now, the bill will need to be paid, and another number used until it's settled.

So, for the immediate future, if you want to reach Manna in Bangor, call (207) 852-5635. They can help direct you to their new location, tell you how to enjoy a free meal, or explain how you could help make this a Happy Thanksgiving for your neighbors in need. It's almost time for us to encourage you to donate turkeys in the Hannaford parking lot, so get ready!
