The Augusta Police Department responded to Littlefield Street for male who reportedly displayed a firearm in a reckless manner. This male subject, who was outside at the time of this incident, retreated to the apartment he was staying in before police arrived.

He was quickly identified as Stephon James Davis, 18 of Augusta, but refused to answer the door or cooperate with the investigation. Davis was observed leaving the residence in a vehicle Monday. Patrol Officers conducted a felony motor vehicle stop on Mt. Vernon Avenue where Davis was taken into custody without incident.

Davis was charged with Criminal Threatening with a Weapon, Theft by Receiving Stolen Property, Elevated Aggravated Assault on a Pregnant Person and Trafficking in Scheduled W Drugs (Cocaine). After Davis was taken into custody, detectives found probable cause to believe he assaulted the mother of his unborn child. Davis is being held without bail at the Kennebec County Correctional Facility.
