Man Hurt In Saco Yacht Club Explosion

A Saco man was hurt in an explosion and fire that occurred while he was working on his boat Monday, According to the State Fire Marshal's Office.

53-year-old Marc Lamothe suffered burns and a broken hip in the accident at the Saco Yacht Club.

Fire investigators say Lamothe was attempting to loosen a livewell hose with an open flame, which apparently ignited gasoline fumes.

The victim is being treated at Maine Medical Center in Portland.
