A man was flown to the hospital after crashing his motorcycle Sunday night on Garfield Road in Masardis.

Devin Stoltz, 39, of Masardis lost control of his motorcycle when he came around a corner and went off the road and into a ditch.

His bike hit an embankment, went airborne and struck some trees.

Trooper Tim Saucier responded to the crash around 7:30 p.m.

Saucier told thecounty.me that Stoltz was taken by ambulance to the Aroostook Medical Center in Presque Isle and later flown to Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor due to “the severity of his injuries.”

Stoltz was not wearing a helmet at the time of the accident.
