A New York man who was involved in a shootout at Walmart in Augusta is now facing drug charges.

WABI-TV reports 28-year-old Frankie Dejesus pleaded guilty Tuesday to drug charges connected to the importation of fentanyl, heroin, and crack cocaine to Maine from New York. He's one of 16 people who were arrested as part of a Central Maine drug ring.

Dejesus was one of four people involved in the shootout at the Walmart parking lot in 2016. Police at the time said the gunshots were the result of a dispute over drug money. Three of those four people were later charged in the drug operation, including Dejesus' sister, who pleaded guilty to drug charges last month.

Last year, Dejesus was given a two-year deferred sentence for reckless conduct with a dangerous weapon.
