A man died after falling overboard and then being struck by the boat, which was being driven by his twin brother.

The Maine Warden Service says 31-year-old Jeff Beattie was riding in the bow of a 17-foot motorboat on Mousam Lake when he fell overboard Saturday evening. He was then run over by the boat driven by his twin, and containing the two men's wives and another person.

Beattie was pulled on board and taken to shore where emergency workers worked to revive him. He was taken to a Sanford medical facility and then LifeFlighted to Maine Medical Center in Portland, where he later died of his injuries.

The incident is being investigated by the Maine Warden Service and York County District Attorney's office. Investigators took a blood sample for blood and alcohol testing.
