A Lamoine man faces charges of domestic violence criminal threatening and violating his bail conditions after a standoff at his home Thursday, police said.

James Day Sr., 47, is being held at the Hancock County Jail after he surrendered to police Thursday afternoon, according to Department of Public Safety spokesman Stephen McCausland.

More than 20 police officers responded to the double-wide mobile home at 72 Needles Eye Road, after Day fired four shots inside the home with a rifle, McCausland said.

State troopers, game wardens, Maine Marine Patrol officers and Hancock County deputies responded to the house.

McCausland said Day surrendered about four hours later after talking by phone to a Trooper.

No one was injured.
